마지막 사중주 - A Late Quartet

 

 T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets 

“Time present and time past 

Are both perhaps present in time future 

And time future contained in time past 

If all time is eternally present 

All time is unredeemable.”

*사월 선생님이랑 한국에서 마지막으로 만난 날, 세븐 스프링스에서 밥을 먹고 보았던  '마지막 사중주'라는 영화. 미국으로 가는 비행기에서도 틀어주길래 우연찮게 두 번 본 영화. 난 영화든 음악이든 문외한이라서 이 영화 자체에 대해서는 잘 모르겠지만 단 한 가지, T.S. Eliot의 시는 정말이지 항상 멋지다는 말은 확실히 할 수 있다. 언젠가 꼭 음미하며 전부 읽으리라.
